A Workday application is a separate form for every company. Here is the order that keeps the resume readable, the questions answered, and the hour from disappearing into a dead posting.

Workday is the career site behind a large share of US corporate jobs. Each company has its own Workday site. An account at one employer does not log you into the next. The form asks for work history you already put on the resume, then adds questions the resume never had.
Plan on 20 to 40 minutes once you include the account, the repeated history, and the questionnaires. That is why a week of "just a few applications" turns into a part-time job.
Before you open the form
Confirm the posting is on the company career site, not only on a board. Boards copy listings and leave them up.
Read the title and the first screen of duties. If it says talent community or general consideration, it may not be one open seat. Check it with the ghost job checker.
Save a resume as a simple file: one column, standard headings (Experience, Education, Skills), no text boxes or icons. Workday parses that file into fields. A designed template often lands as a scrambled block.
On the form
Let it parse, then fix the fields. Workday fills employer, title, and dates from the file. Those fields are what the recruiter's screen shows. Correct them. Do not trust the parse.
Match the words in this posting. If the job says "stakeholder management" and your bullet says "worked with other teams," the resume and the req are speaking two dialects. Change the bullet for this application. A generic file sent to every Workday site is easy to pass over.
Answer the questions that are not on the resume. Work authorization, sponsorship, location, and salary expectations are on the form. Leaving a required field blank stops the submit. Guessing a sponsorship answer you cannot stand behind causes a worse problem later. If you need employers that file H-1B petitions, start from the H-1B sponsor list and the H-1B visa jobs guide, then apply on those companies' own sites.
One application per company at a time. Several reqs at the same employer in the same week can look like a blast. Pick the closest title.
After you submit
You should land on a confirmation. Save it. If you are using a service, ask for a screenshot of that screen. That is the proof the form was filed, which is different from a tool that only clicked a board button.
